Well i have been after a early TZR125 project for a while now and have finally gotten one
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr its rather rough and is gonna need a bit of work BUT its not seized and i think with fresh fuel it may run, i've not had time to try yet, But as Lesley Crowther would of said"The Price was Right" |

I love the tailpipe, it looks like something from the Spanish inquisition. |

Close up of said tailpipe
To think that this is a sleeve that has been lovingly handmade to go over the standard can fills me with fear as to what horrors lie beneath it |

Brilliant that is fletch, I love the tail pipe !
When you rebuild it, you want to sell that pipe advertised as a having the Rat Look... I reckon it could fetch a tidy sum
Nearly bought a TZR125 new from Granby Motors in Sheffield in the late 1980's.. Nearly... Then I was tempted by another Green Machine _________________ We are where we are... |

Loving that 80's crazing effect on the paintwork - surely you will keep it that way, & maybe rag roll the fairing & use a marbling effect paint kit on the seat to keep it in period?
Do my eyes decieve or did the previous owner spray the wheels with the tyres still fitted?
Good luck with this one!!!!! _________________ Anyone who uses the term "workshop" outside the context of light engineering is a twat! (Alexei Sayle) |

I'm loving the red overspray on the tyres.
You beat me to the rag-rolling comment R1Zman
I'm sure it will look beautiful when it's finished. At least they stayed away from the frame with the paint. |

Bloody hell Yanw I thought it was only me that lived in an 80's timewarp - we'll be comparing Laura Ashley wallpaper designs next!
You're right though - I bet it will look superb when finished - the standard of work completed by the guys (& girls)? on this forum never ceases to amaze me in this digital, throw away world. If I was shipwrecked on a tropical island, would I rather be with a mechanical engineer or an electronic one? The former I think.
(Actually scrub that, i'd rather be shipwrecked with Rachel Riley) _________________ Anyone who uses the term "workshop" outside the context of light engineering is a twat! (Alexei Sayle) |

Hi fletch iv got a rolling chassis if you need any bits? Got all bodywork too but the paint is as bad if not worse than you already have! Hand painted black with purple glitter put in, not metalflake, GLITTER! _________________ Gagging for it |

No worries, i was looking to part it all out soon anyhow, the only difference i can see with mine is that its a disc brake rear and the wheels are 3 spoke rather than the 3 x2 spoke its all pretty untidy but would clean up ok and its cheap! But as i say have plastics, screen, tank, suspension everything but the electrics, clacks and engine really, i have the exhaust but yours is better! Lol _________________ Gagging for it |
