Nice one Dave. Look forward to seeing what you do with it. Prefer those to the later 4-stroke one.
Tiny those aren't they ? Stick a pic up of you sat on it...

So what's happened to this bike since Dave posted just over a year ago ?
Well, Dave tidied it up a fair bit then advertised it for sale on his own Gag Bike Forum. I quite fancied it but bobbyboy wanted it more and bought it. He showed it off on our stand at last October's Stafford Show, where I rode it about 50 ft round the car park. I vaguely remember saying something that weekend like "if you ever decide to sell, let me know"...
A few months later, Jim from PS asked me to help him arrange a Gag feature for the magazine, and bobbyboy loaned them the KS for that. Unfortunately they seized it. And I'd already agreed to buy it from bobbyboy after the test. Doh !
Generously he said I could back out of the deal, but that seemed unfair. And Jim had said he'd pay to fix it anyway. He got local place CB Tuning to do the work, who told me it'd been rebored and fitted with a new conrod, crankpin, big and small-end bearings, piston, rings, gudgeon pin and gaskets. It should be like new now !
I finally got the bike home on Thursday. It starts easily but is making the same worrying bottom-end noise that my AR80 did following years of teenage mechanical abuse (I've still got that butchered crankpin somewhere). Should I just trust it, run it in gently and see what happens ? Or strip it to have a look ? Or just hide it in the back of the shed ?
Can't ride it yet anyway, the fuel tap's sprung a leak.

Well, I've got a spare KR fairing and tailpiece, and a fibreglassing kit...
Fixed the fuel leak, just had my first ride on it. Everyone who sees it whizz by has a grin on their face.
