Anyone got any interesting photos of themselves with their old bikes ? Going to school on your TS50 or proudly picking up your new LC for example ?

Post 'em up here - extra cool points awarded for period accessories, shocking 80's clothing and hooligan behaviour. Wink

Here's me with my KH250 back in 1988. I was at the Blyton round of the SuperBike magazine 'Ultimate Streetbike' championship, basically a 'run-what-yer-brung' drag race.

I'd signed up with my GSX-R750G but wrote it off before the event, hence the unsuitable choice of machinery. I came dead last out of 117 riders, with a best time of a respectable (for the bike) 15.47 secs for the 1/4-mile. Rode it there and back too of course.

Note the 80's uniform of KR-rep AGV, red leather jacket, drainpipe Wranglers and gaffa-taped white paddock boots. Steady girls... Cool

Tidying the attic at the weekend. Found some old photos.

Here's me on my AR80 in 1983-ish. Oil-soaked L-plates, blue leather jacket, Boeri Driver lid, no gloves. And home-made graphics inspired by WW2 fighter nose-art. Cool

Well I'm F**ked , that me in 106th position on my old RG500 , not really a time to be too proud of , as I appear to have been wooped by an X7 who was 1 place above me .
Happy days , me and my mate Matt ( who is listed in 108th place ) rode 2 up on a 400 mile round trip on my gamma with a tent in his ruck sack and the beer in the tank bag. We both shared my bike for the runs.

Mike .

Glad I posted it Mike. Thumbs Up

Ken Taylor, 10th place on his Turbo GSX1260, one of the leading racers of that time. On one of his runs he was up against me on the KH. And I beat him. Laughing Think his bike went sick... Crying or Very sad

I'm loving the pics, showing the styles we all went through Laughing

I've not got a single photo of me and my earlier bikes together, or my fashionable biking attire. Maybe that's a good thing....... Embarassed

What? Glad that I haven't got any to show, or that you can't or won't show yours either? Wink

These are the earliest photos of me and bikes together.....

1991, first ever race entry, novice class, Pembrey circuit, dodgy white/pink leathers, bricking it.....

Same first race, entering Dibeni Bends, trying to make sense of the double left, and failing Confused
