What are you hoping to do in 2012, bike-wise ?

I'm planning to :

- sort the carbs on the GSX-R, MOT it and start using it properly. And then decide what to do about the whining output shaft bearing.

- prep the TZR and do a trackday on it - it needs the clutch sorting, brakes stripping (again) and some new tyres. Should help me decide whether it's a keeper or not. I suspect it'll make more sense on the track than the road.

- finish fettling the red/black KR, get it through an MOT and put it back on the road for the first time in over 10 years.

- fit the new bits I've bought for Sara's SDR - forks, top-yoke, clip-ons, seat-lock. Then persuade her to start using it.

- fit new fork-seals to the green/white KR, repair the holes in the rear exhaust and attempt to fix the poor starting. Finally.

- swap my car for a van.

That'll do for rash promises. I'd love to make some progress with my KR project and tidy up the 3 Gags too but I'm realistic as to how hopeless I am. I'd manage more if I had more space to play with, which prompts another resolution :

- don't buy any more bikes.

Just hope to be able NOT to buy another bike in 2012.

Its too much

15 at the moment

The "to do list"

-- Build the RG 250 MK1 onto the new frame

-- Get the RG 250 WW ready for the summer , needs the fairing put
on and the carbs cleaned

-- Get the T 350 frame powder coated and build up from scratch

-- New fairing on the RGV 250 M in blue/white

--Lost of little jobs on the other bikes.

And offcourse ride as much as possible

Erik

Me???

SELL! SELL!! SELL!!! Laughing

Well one or two are defintely on the sales list for early 2012, but apart from that...

    * get the NSR running
    * repaint & decal Pepsi VJ21 and fit the correct pipes
    * strip and rebuild the ELR (with a black frame this time!)
    * and get the KR running.... "ready for the 2012 KR250.org meeting" Wink

Think that's more than enough for one NY resolution.

Is there a forfeit if we fail with any of these??? Shocked

Sell, can you explain this please?? but don't let my wife hear Smile

Anything interesting coming up Smile managed to build myself a new shed, but unfortunately still haven't got enough room.

Not a resolution, but I'm going to try and get out, and ride more this year, no use keeping them if they don't get ridden.

Looking at your thread on the Honda section I'd say you're on target for a 2012 completion Si! Very Happy

Top stuff! Thumbs Up

Hi Paul,

Hmmm, good question! In addition to the TDR, the New Year sale will include the IT465, probably the YSR80 and perhaps the Walter Wolf RG250. Sad

Haven't come up with a definitive list yet but making on with the Ke175 has to come way up the list Embarassed

I wonder what is the record for owning a bike, that you intend to restore/get roadworthy is? I must have had the Ke for a good 3 or 4 years now Eh?

Then once thats done, its on with the Tzr 1kt, the Kr1s & the AE50 oh not forgetting the Kc100...... fortunately I've sold the rest of the 'projects' Wink

New Years Resolution - be satisfied with nice new pyjamas !

Oh and don't buy any more bikes until I've finished the others.... Erm ...Until a good KR250S, KR1S or KMX200 come up and tempt me!

Maybe build up an AR 'race' bike for a laugh at classic track days using the numerous spares laying around.

And try to keep on the good side of the missus ... Liking the new pyjamas ! Lol Very Happy
