A little bit of progress today
I got the engine back together then managed to get it in the frame

Its only loosely fitted at the moment as it appears i am missing some spacers, i cant work on it until i get the yamagamma project moved out the shed so i can get the bike bench set up again, hopefully it will be gone soon Rolling Eyes

My engine looks the same as that, the tzr i have has a squarer engine but its a newer engine? Ill take some pics and measurements of my mounts and email them to you if you want?
Ill double check my engine probabaly tomorrow to be sure and ill take the pics while im there.
Does your engine have 2 rear mounting points, one above the other?
And mine looks like it has an extra mount coming from between the sides of the frame?
As i say ill try and get some more detailed photos and if i remember ill gt some of the indicators too so you can see if you want them.
Your engine looks alot tidier than mine though!
You have a plug on the electrics Laughing
Im looking at putting all new automotive plugs on mine rather than the mostly bullet connectors at the moment! They will at least make the wiring up interesting!
Anything i can help with just let me know

Its seems i'm missing the spacers which go between engine &frame at both the front &back of engine, i could just stick some washers in there though Laughing
I thought you had the older engine with the square barrel?
Been looking trying to work out how it goes together today, looks like my radiator is side mounted, would explain why its got electric fan fitted Wink Don't know how the fairing lowers will fit with it like that Confused
I think with the mods its got my motor should put out about 20bhp Surprised
I have got a Autisa 175 big bore kit, they are booked @35bhp Shocked but its for the older engine and they have a 5mm longer stroke so to fit to mine i've gotta change my con rod or come up with some other cunning plan Wink

Yeah my engine has 1 mount at the front &2 at rear, 1above the other
when i get the bike on the bench (a couple of weeks) i will be able to get it level and measure up the spacers i need, the engine is sliding side to side on the bolts at the moment Confused this should be an easy fix
It looks like my wiring was made from a brand new loom so would seem i'm quite lucky then Laughing
Some pictures of how you're getting on with your GaG would be good Wink

Im on an ipad so its a bit more tricky but ill get some.
Are you using just the one rear mount then? And you are very lucky with the loom!

I'm goin to use both the rear mounts as they both line up with the brackets on the frame
I dont own ALL the bikes on my list now, only 10 or 11 Laughing
I think i could need a bigger shed soon too, and a pay rise as stroker prices are on the up and i want a few more yet Laughing
Writing that list lastnight i realised i've only ever owned 2 4strokes Shocked

I want to get a TZR250 2MA, would love a big 2 stroke too, 500 gamma maybe but they silly money now, Shocked probably get a 400gamma bit cheaper, i been to look at a RGV250 wolf today, would quite like 1 of those but it was rougher than i expected and the guy wouldn't shift the price Rolling Eyes Dont know if i get any time to play with the YSR this weekend Sad

Yup a big two stroke would be great but they really are silly money even for a basket case!
And i would probably get shot for saying this but an old 750 kettle in a modern frame would be my ideal but the engines are really silly money!
I also quite fancy a 250 four cylinder four stroke just because of the tiny engineering and the 20000 rpm red line!
My friend recently bought a reverse cylinder that he is restoring, he paid 200 for it! But it honestly looked like it had been used as an anchor at sea! Hehad to cut the yokes away from the forks because they had swollen so much!
Its looking really good now though and not far off finished, ill get him onthe site too!
But during the rebuild he found its had loads of sp bits fitted which was nice!

As predicted i didn't get time to work on the ysr this weekend Sad
I did get rid of all my yamagamma stuff though so i could at least get the bike bench out again and put the ysr on it

Looks kinda lost on it though Laughing

Although your garage looks warmer and better lit than mine!
