Thanx GP Very Happy I think you got to pull your finger out and get on with yours now Laughing
Such a good feeling to have put it together from some boxes of bits and to kick it over and hear it fire up for the first time Party
I still got loads to do but at least i know that its a runner, even after i had my fingers in it Laughing

@ Sebastien, like i said am using the exhaust i got with the project, it fits ok just not alot of ground clearance on righthand side, i don't know who made it , and i will check the clearance at the front next time i fit it, i think its ok
I didn't get a silencer can with the project so i have gone and bought a Toomey Racing can from USA for it Cool specifically designed for the YSR its only 9" long so doesn't look out of place Very Happy

For toomey's , i have one on the 80 ysr stock motor ... run fine but don't you think that the hole would be too little for 125 exhaust ? Confused

There are a few around, but probably easiest to get them on Japanese Yahoo auctions.

Wish I could get more of my mates on smaller CC bikes too.. Had my years of speeding around and still have a license buster.. But... I get much more of a kick nowadays going out on the two stroke 125s, 200, 250s rather than the 1000cc+ hyperbike

The nice thing about the little 125 2 squeaks is that they are slow enough to thrash the absolute knackers off but quick enough to be fun and with an interest power delivery.

All the best

Yes Keith, I bought my rear light unit from Yahoo Japan, along with a genuine seat unit and seat pad as was missing those, lots of parts avaliable on that site, lots cool bikes too Very Happy

A little more progress this weekend Smile
As i have an RD125 wiring loom its a bit too long for the YSR, so i made up a simple undertray for the back end so i can lay the loom on it
Here's a pic of the underside

Looks quite neat i think Very Happy
And here's a pic from above

It sure isn't pretty but it is all i can manage to do with the mass of wiring Embarassed
It will be hidden by the seat unit thank god so no one will ever know Laughing
Fitted my rear hugger too

Don't know whether i like it though Laughing Will have to wait and see Laughing
Spent the rest of my time routing cables so they dont snag and trying to tidy the wiring, not much left to do but still alot to do if you get what i mean Laughing i think it will take a while to get it all sorted properly, just want the rest of my parts to turn up so i can get it finished Laughing

Like the undergrad fletch - very neat and tidy that is fella, looks like its factory Very Happy

I use plastic plugs to close off frame tube ends either side of the under tray, something like :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Plastic-Blanking-End-Caps-Square-Tube-Insert-20mm-/280991564671?pt=UK_BOI_Metalworking_Milling_Welding_Metalworking_Supplies_ET&hash=item416c67037f

Know it's not OEM though Rolling Eyes

I like the hunger too in the picture.. How does it look from further away, setting with the whole bike? Does it look in keeping with the other bodywork?
Did you make it yourself? Question

Cool

Thanx T-S for the compliments Very Happy
Good idea about the caps for the end of frame tubes, i might get some, as long as they don't add too much weight Laughing
I didn't make the hugger, it was amongst all the bits, i haven't had a chance to fit all the bodywork and stand back &look at it, thats why i'm still undecided as to whether i like it or not Confused
Hopefully over the Xmas holidays i will get time to fit the bodywork and have a good look at it, post some pics up and everyone can give me there opinions on it Wink

Great stuff Paul, looking forward to seeing how your YSR monster turns out too. With 125's in them we need to get you and fletch down Santa Pod for a gag shoot out !

Just noticed too, another advantage of working on a gag - you can find an interesting use for a ladder and it's light enough to lift onto it

Wink

PS your gonna get noticed with that 69 number plate Nono Laughing
