|
|
Well the other day i sat down and wrote out what bikes i had owned. These are in order of ownership
1. Raleigh Wisp
2. Raleigh runabout
3. Puch 2 speed
4. Puch Magnum
5. Garelli Mosquito
6. Honda SS50
7. Benelli 250 2C
8. Yamaha YAS1
9. Honda CB125
10. Yamaha XS250
11. Yamaha YR5 350
12. Yamaha RD400
13. Kawasaki S2 350
14. Honda CB400 Four
15. Honda CB400 Four
16. Honda CBX 6 cylinder
17. Kawasaki Z650
18. Honda CB400 Four
19. Kawasaki KH250
20. Yamaha 350LC
21. Yamaha Thundercat
22. Honda Fireblade 929
23. Yamaha Thundercat
24. Honda CBR600rr3
25. Suzuki GSXR600 K6
26. Honda CBR600RR6
27. Gilera Nexus 300
28. Yamaha Tmax
29. Yamaha 3MA
And not one Ducati
Out of that lot i have a couple of favourites, The Yas1 Yam was a 1967 125cc Twin 2 stroke....... That did a indicated 110mph chinning the tank
that was in the days of expansion chambers and no silencers on em, sounded beautiful
The fireblade is just a brilliant all round rocket
and the Honda CBR600RR3 which handled like a dream, the RR6 was not as good
I am hoping to have a bit of fun on this 3ma so will let you know when the time comes

What a brill list there firebladeaid..
I will have to write my list too, won't look as impressive as yours though.
Maybe I better include my push bikes too in an effort to keep up, surely a tommohawk, chopper, grifter and Dawes Chevron will count too?
What I want to know is which ones do you wish you have kept hold of?
...and are going to buy a third thundercat? Lol

In order :
Yamaha DT50M
Kawasaki AR80-A1
Yamaha RD350LC
Suzuki GSX-R750G (new)
Kawasaki KH250
Yamaha RD350LC
Yamaha TDR250 (new)
Suzuki GSX-R750K (new)
Suzuki GSX-R750M (new)
Suzuki GSX-R1100M (new)
Yamaha DT125R
Kawasaki S3A 400 triple
Kawasaki KR250A
Kawasaki KR250A
Kawasaki KR250A
Yamaha TZR250SP 3MA-4
Suzuki GSX-R750RK
Suzuki RB50 (GSX-R50)
Kawasaki KR250-A2
Kawasaki KS-II 80
That's 20 in total - not many considering it spans a continuous 30 years of bike ownership.
But I still have the last 8.
And not a single Honda among them. Seems I'm destined to own only Kawasaki or Yamaha 2-strokes, and GSX-R's.

Seriously though fletch - I hope you've got a van and like doing shows . . . we've been looking for a saviour and looks like we've found him.

Nowt wrong with 'a bit used' mate - it's good to see bikes on stands which are used (that cancels mine out then!! ) but are also clean and presentable, and yours looks to tick all those boxes! If you like bike shows, don't mind seeing people gawp at your bikes and then being asked questions about them, I think you'll enjoy it _________________ Bikes: www.diffrentstrokers.com
