dug this out from under the hedge belonged to a member on here , going to get it on the road next year ,i hope , going to be a (low) budget build from stuff i have lying about , luckily i have a good amount of stuff lying about
first thing i did was to try and fit some 4dl yokes , and they bolt on no bother
so last night i stripped it and cleaned all the hedge clippings out
and will get on cleaning the rest of the muck off
more pics to follow

Great stuff Mike, looking forward to the build
I have to say though ... When you state you have a good amount of stuff laying around? Does that include another complete donor bike?? Lol
Sounds like your garage is like mine _________________ We are where we are... |

tried the r6 shock in it last night ,its 10mm shorter and fits well into the swinging arm /full floater set up only need 2 shorter spacers on the bottom mount , but , the reservoir fouls the
back engine mount cross member , tried an fzr 600 shock in and that will go with a little bit of surgery ,its 25 mm longer tho so thats out unless i change the link bars
i'll go see my mate pete the breaker and see what he's got kicking about
there's always the standard shock if nowt turns up , needs a bit of work tho
got some engine plates and spacers made up too
will get the bolts done tonight maybe , tho might spend some time on the lc tonight |

still not sure about motors
like the simplicity of the 4lo motor and i have a couple that i could use
also have 2 valvie motors , will have to see what needs the least work and money spent
got my tank delivered today so will have a looka at that later on
maybe do some pics too
cheers for the pic cinder |

Found another valvie motor and a further 2 lc engines along with a tzr 2 ma motor I forgot I had
So I'll have a look and see what's the healthiest and go with that
4l1/0 I think
Got wheels and some other bits dug out too

I bet it's mega handy having that massive old lathe laying around
Number of times I've threatened to buy one when I see machine shops closing down.. _________________ We are where we are... |

DO IT SHAG , you can get these things for a couple of hundred quid
just get as much tooling as possible whilst your at it
i have a benchtop mill too ,a sieg x3
and 2 home built cnc's a small mill and an engraver
the money i charge for machining your better buying your own over a few jobs |

Got the wheel spacers made up today ,as my sprocket carrier arrived yesterday ,so must get some tyres sorted out
Got a bracket to mount the tank made up and won a cheap tz seat on the bay
So will get that sized up when it arrives
Made some plates up to attach the vj22 footrest assemblies
The engine mounts have caused me a wee problem ,I made them to the dimensions in the magazine article , but the motor sits too low ,so made up shorter plates to lift the motor 2 mm at the rear
Try and get that fitted tonight

came across the same problem myself m8,i filed a half round in the original rear frame bracket to allow the rear bolt to be raised about 6mm if that helps _________________ g king |

i hope it wont come to that , its already had a valvie motor in it and
is registered as such ,maybe just a tolerance stack up issue
anyway ,turns out both the wheels i fitted have a runout in them ,so
i dug a pair out i was saving for an lc build
only problem is that i now need yet another cush drive , i'm told (by yats)
that the standard tdr/ 2ma carrier is narrower than the 3ma/4dl one
so thats what i think i need now ,also looks as if i need to move the motor
toward the drive side a bit so holding back on re-mounting it ,offset sprocket is another solution
so now awaiting a tz seat i won cheap on the bay ,bet that dosent fit either |
