Next weekend, 16-18th Nov.
We did this show three years ago (SEE HERE) and it was great. Sadly the bike part of it seems to have lost interest and I can't recommend it in it's own right. The LC Club were the highlight last year but I think they've pulled out this year too. Bearing in mind the mountain of red-tape and hassle involved, I don't blame them.
However, if you like old cars too, it's well worth a visit. Huge show, you'll struggle to get round it all in a day. Owners clubs, trade stands, live shows - whether you're into supercars or bubblecars, there'll be one on show and someone eager to talk to you about it.
I'll probably pop along on the Saturday. I've offered to take my folks again so I might have to fake interest in Austin 7's and the like, and I think Mrs.S will be going too now that I've pointed out that TT-hero-and-Fred-Dibnah-wannabe Guy Martin will be there...

I'm going to motorcycle live instead this year on 24th November - 2nd December
Would prefer to see bikes of my era (late 70s, 80s and 90s... But they not going to be there and the kids would rather see the new stuff.
Like old cars too but just not the same for me _________________ We are where we are... |

Yeah tis a good show at the NEC, and I might pop in on the Saturday as I'll be coming back from my last trackday of 2012 at Oulton Park… we'll see. Would still like DS to do it again, but 3 (make that 4 with setup) days is a tiring ol' time - but it'd be worth it if the bike show as good as the car show! _________________ Bikes: www.diffrentstrokers.com

We went today as planned. Bike show was sandwiched between the car bits, which is a good move for attracting new people, especially as the car show ticket (£21.50 !) included entry to the bike bit.
But it was pretty crap to be honest, and anyone who paid £14 (plus £10 parking) just to do the bike bit must be pretty pissed off.
Couple of nice LC's, pair of RG500's, plus Andy Bolas' AR125 and NS400R on the VJMC stand. Saw Guy Martin and Mick Grant getting interviewed.
Good job I like old cars too. Stratos, 3.0CSL, R5 Turbo-2, mmm... |

Dunno why they continue to try to sell tickets for the bike show separately, when £21.50 (how much?!?!) being more than enough for the whole show anyway.
Shame the bike show was poo though . . . the lack of a DS stand obviously didn't help
See any cool old Citroen vans?!?? _________________ Bikes: www.diffrentstrokers.com
