waiting for that rad sizing and fixing.
Looks nice and tight.
See what you mean about keeping the engine placement to leave as much room as possible for the rad.
Could do will some info about the rear sprocket you had made if they have to get one made.
Coming together nicely. |

I think I used b and c express for the rear sprocket, just gave them the ysr measurements from the original sprocket and asked for the smallest they could do in the tzr pitch, was about 30 quid delivered.
and I tried two ktm motorcross rads but the pipework was all over the place, its q side mounted rad on mine now im going to use a scoop to push some extra air through and if need be put a fan in too got to see how it cools first, oh and ive taken out the thermostat for now just to increase overall flow around the cooling system as its prettyrestrictiive _________________ Gagging for it |

Looking great Paul.
Looking at the pipe work and space.. I think you may have got away with an AR125 rad up against the frame though?
I will send you one if you want to try it for size / position etc.. _________________ We are where we are... |

Thanks ts! Maybe send the measurements first then if i think its close ill try a real one!
I would much prefer front mount due to cooling but i tried tzr 125, then two little motorcross rads which looked trick butwere not practical, and an rd 125 which was the best front mounted but the wheel would have hit it! _________________ Gagging for it |

Please ignore tha fact that this one is covered in oily crud.. Thought it would at least give you an idea.
Inlet and outlet are on RHS
Ignore the bolts on the sides as they hold the front grill which you may not need unless you want to use one. Fixings top bottom and both sides.. Some can be removed of course.
About 22cm wide and not much more than that tall.
Rad is only 25mm approximate wide if you ignore the cap
Any good ?

Cooling capacity is a bitdown on that one ts!
It looks like it might just about fit, will probably go in better than anything iv tried so far so ill be searching the bay for a reasonable one shortly!, dont want to spend too much to find it doesnt/wont fit!
But it would go on the other side, double side mounts would give a bit more cooling!
Heres what im working with at the moment, the last pic is trying to show how much clearance iv got but its a tricky one to show!
You can just make out the exhaust header on the right! _________________ Gagging for it |

Have a RD80 LC rad but think its the same size as the 125.
so bad news hearing that.
I'll have to go down the route of when its in the bike measuring up and popping down the scrappy to pick one that will do the job.
Team squid did say they us the YZ rads when they put in the 80 motors. |

You could always go down the custom route, sure GMX would be able to help out...

I would love to but this has been a budget build, and even though i havnt looked i cant see it being cheap!
It would solve all my problems though, right mounting points with extra cooling in a probably smaller package, and how trickwould it look curved! _________________ Gagging for it |
