I ordered the gaskets from Fowlers online, just said they were on back order, usually takes about a week for them to come in i think
As usual my work is starting to go manic already this week so looks like i won't get chance to do the port map till weekend, not sure my barrel is 100% standard though as transfers look like they been cleaned up to me, will take pics and post them up for all to see @weekend

My Martin Johnson expansion chamber and with silencer weighs 2.1Kg.

The standard exhaust has had the standard silencer cut off and a flange welded on to carry the alloy end can. The standard expansion chanber allone weighs 4.6Kg.

Of course I could save far more than 2.5Kg by going on a diet. Sad

Lol! Used to race with a guy who measured out his fuel exactly, lost count of the number of times he ran out-i always suggested missing breakfast would be a better idea!

I'm sure most of us could look to our selves befiore we need to swap the steel engine casing bolts for aluminium.

The lighter bits are ofter much more sexy than the pig-iron standard stuff which does ease the guilt.

I do like a pie and a pint though. Laughing

Hello, Just thought I would post a picture of the new Mick Abbey pipe on my SDR.

It's had a before and after on the dyno, and made an extra thousand rpm and 2hp at the wheel. It also looks and sounds at lot better and is about a third of the weight.

If Mick's made a pipe, would he give you the port dimensions?

That's a nice looking pipe there topfridgeman Thumbs Up , what sort of money is Mick Abbey charging for it. I assume now he's done one he can duplicate it?
also when you had it dyno'd what carb jets did you end up putting in to get it right?
