We don't have SDR in France, not imported.
I purchased it by Ebay, in UK, in Dec. 11, without exhaust and engine, and imported it via Chase Mortimer Very Happy

First evolution:
My goal is to put a 430 Puma or 510 Sabertooth from cp industries cylinder kit on a honda trx 250 r...
I started with a YZ 250 2002 engine with TZR 4fl rear wheel, Triumph 600 TT lightened front calipper and old school French rear seat from Chaplot, for moped...

Here at Magny cours, at the Meeting RD500LC in 2012:

The YZ vibrates a little bit for me, so I decided to put a more evolutive engine, Of course I have presented an Twin 350 RZ/RDLC, won't fit without cutting the rear of the cases, and it will be globally too heavy

I know it's contrary to nature, dot hit me...lol
I realised everything alone, machining, welding, Composites, wiring...Just a bit helped for engine development.

Second evolution:
Honda TRX 250 R kit Eddie sanders racing ESR 327cc (76x72)
6 speeds, counterbalanced, Twisted Evil

A 2.3 kilogrammes, together , tank/ self-supporting intake airbox/seat, home made.

CR 250 2002 ignition, controlled by Zeeltronic, custom Z16 front sprocket, long rod.

First road race, this summer:

French TZ Club 2013 Meeting, Lurcy Levis:

This winter, a stroker crank +4mm (76mm) , modifed gearing set, new fork and special parts. Pleasure first.
possibility of large evolution, up to 540cc (95x80)

Here's a friendly meeting with RGB500 RG500 RDLC350 Aprilia RS250, RGV 250, RS125 and 250 Honda, CR500, sorry for the sound.

Ahah, Yes, but in Germany, you had like 200 bikes imported by a private guy... Wink

I know a guy in Germany, his name is Markus, he rides a TZR 500 3XV, he realised the engine, all the machining Shocked

and it goes really well!
He cames in France once a year, and last time I saw him, he asked the famous question...

The French famous Yamaha Importator, named Jean Claude Olivier (rest in peace, Crying or Very sad

) at the end of 1986, make pressure on Yamaha, to create a typical European bike, the TDR 240cc, after many wrestling he did it, for our best happiness!
And he had in his line of sight, the sexy SDR at the same time, but to much work for him, and the TDR was so welcomed here, that his satisfaction was full...

Today, there are only two SDR in France according to me Razz

Hi,

don t think we had 200 SDRs here... I think there are not much more than 20... I know the guy who imported the most - his bikes were all used bikes.

A friend of mine was at Yamaha Amsterdam for many years... he also love the SDR but he said that nobody there had in mind to bring this Little bike to europe... most europeans wanted BIG-BIKES...
