The next issue of Practical Sportsbikes magazine will have a feature on the good old days of Grey Imports. And they need your help !
They want to talk to people who've got (or had) grey imports about why you went grey, what it's like to live with them, how easy/hard it is to get info or parts for them, how excited you were waiting for the container to arrive from Japan. Even if the bike is long-gone, they're still keen to hear what it was like back then.
If you have period photos of you astride your shiny new R1-Z or Xanthus outside Fastline / BAT / Seastar / West Coast / Bristol Bike Direct etc or any other relevant pics, they want those too.
Email details and photos to Simon Hargreaves at writestuffmedia@gmail.com or just send him your contact details and he'll phone you up and wheedle it all out of you. And tell him we sent you please. |

Make sure you don't lose the slip of paper that says you have paid import tax as you will have to pay it again to register the bike. |
