The house was the compromise in our last move, double garage, parking for 4 cars and a big garden. The garage is now full of bikes and no where to work, funny that. The footprint of the garage is bigger than the house. |

This week contacted a friend who is up for fabricating an alloy monocoque one piece frame incorporating tank/seat/frame members to house a turned MZ engine.
Design stage but based on the Herrero Ossa.
Made a start at last, I'll post some pics of cardboard mock up. _________________ If it don't ring-a-ding-ding it ain't worth a thing |

Thats alot more ambitious than getting petrol and pumping up the tyres on the TDR.
Best of luck with the project |

Any progress on this emzedder?
Monocoque chassis bikes are fascinating, The big K obviously thought there was something to be gained with the kr500. Unfortunately it was not to be

Having finally finished the loom for my Ke175 & rewired the LHS switchgear from a ke125 to suit yesterday, today I tried to start it.
Third kick, it ran for about 10 seconds, next attempt, the kick starter kicked back so bloody hard I thought it had taken my foot clean off
Maybe the ignition is a little too advanced? I'll retard it a little then try again with proper boots on tomorrow, assuming I can still walk |

Very little free time lately for various reasons, and terrible weather that always seems to coincide. Got up early on Saturday with a view to taking one of the bikes out briefly. There are only 2 that are currently legal, and despite both being on trickle chargers for a fortnight, both were dead. Back on charge again, up early yesterday morning for another try. Weirdly, both fired up straight away. I took the RK out for a short blast, my first ride of the year, and stopped for this pic at local 'Banksy'.

Went to local bike night on it tonight. There were a few interesting older bikes there, but mostly those modern ones that all look like robotic insects... |

Sad but true
If I had the money to buy a new bike (fat chance!) I would struggle. Being a Kawasaki man, the last bike they made that took my fancy was the Klx250.
Think I'll just stick with my 2 strokes |
