I've got an 86 YSR. On the speedo there is a little red LED that says 'speed'. The light seems to flash most of the time. What's it for? Is it meant to flash all the time?
Handbook is in japanese so without asking a fried to translate I have no way of looking it up.... On a different note please let me know if you have a PDF of an English handbook (note I mean the handbook not the the service book as I already found that online)
Thanks for your help! |

A lot of JDM bikes have a red light that comes on if you go above 80kph (which is 50mph), it was a legal-requirement at the time. Never seen one flash but then I've never owned a YSR. Or maybe you're just riding along between 79 and 80 kph so it keeps flashing on and off ? |

Had a Japanese friend translate the handbook and it is simply a warning light telling you that you are doing over 30kmh..... |
