Hi Howie,

riding in Winter sure makes you appreciate the pleasure of riding in the warmth of Summer. Some of my mates winge on about being too hot in Summer but not me!

Regards

Hi Guys n Gals,

as there was a weather window twixt the raining, I brought out the Tiddler Kawasaki, to see if my re-fitting of the exhaust had worked and after a couple of kicks, she burst into life, without leaking! Result.

So all I need to do is to get her insured and get an MOT test booked. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can be ready to transfer the plate to dad's car and I can then get the swinging arm stripped and powder coated.

Hi Guys n Gals,

well after waiting for almost 2 weeks for Bewiser to decide that my Kawasaki AR125 is too old for the current insurer to cover and that they wanted £360 to cover it for a year (as my protected NCB's being used on my Serow), I contacted one of the insurers that provide cover for members of the VJMC and they quoted for fully comp, £50 excess, unlimited mileage, european cover etc the princely sum of £80!

Needless to say I snapped up the offer!

So tomorrow morning it's MOT test time, so all cross your fingers for me. Not a bad start to my day, before I head to work for a late shift.

Regards

Reggie

Good luck with the MOT !

I use RH Classics for my old bike insurance and I've been extremely pleased with them to date (think they have merged with another company this year but can't remember the name)

Last bike I insured was a KR-1S - for fully comp 12 months it was £28 which I also snapped up!! (limited to 3000 miles though)

But then I do have over 20 years NC and I'm an old fart

Hi Guys n Gals,

well I arrived at the MOT testing station and as soon as the tester saw the bike he said 'I don't know why I bother testing your bikes, as they're always perfect'.

I asked him to go through it with a fine tooth comb, which he did and there wasn't a single thing amiss at all!

Result, so I'll get her taxed now.

I must admit that it's been so long since I've ridden a tiddler stroker, that I'd forgotten just how much fun they're to ride! No power low down at all and a big handful of revs (after all she's a learner legal bike. Add to this a delightful gearbox, no weight at all, mirrors that show you nothing (other than your shoulders) and all accompanied with a wonderful noise.

God I enjoyed it, despite riding in heavy rain and sleet.

On my way home, the front tyre lost a bit of pressure, so I'll need to check for damage or a leaking valve before she goes back on the road.

Ring a ding, a ding, a ding.

Regards

Reggie
