Been after a diffrent stroker for while and quite fanced a R1Z, so I bought one a couple of weeks ago but it has been crashed a couple of times and botched up, Could anyone confirm if these are fzr400 forks. Is there any need to modify the callipers to fit, as somebody has ground the callipers to fit and than added spacers. Also there are no adjusters on top of the forks, and there is only one pinch bolt on the right hand fork bottom, is there any advantage to fitting fzr forks.

Not 100% but I think the forks/brakes etc are FZR250 (I had to buy genuine caliper seals etc just to be sure they would fit) Dont remember any spacers on the calipers either, but they are a common caliper used on many Yams., so could have been changed
One pinch bolt usually means the other fork bottom is threaded for the wheel spindle to fix in to.
Nice car, don't really need a bike with that in the garage |

Hi chris, I think they are fzr250 forks but the top and bottom yolks and the front wheel spindle were bent, straightened every thing out now and is ok.although I wouldnt mind some std forks. |

When I fitted the fzr forks the disc caught on the caliper so I had to fit some washers on the spindle to space it . I have a spare R1Z front mudguard if you need one |

Looks a bit better after a clean and touch up. I used the electrical process as in practical sports bike mag to clean the tank out, worked a treat. |

After sitting on this bike after the Stafford show, i was smitten. Though after my work bike was stolen, i looked for one to buy but could not find one. So i brought a Hornet 600, then a week later i spotted one for sale. Bloody Typical!! |
