Hi Guys n Gals,
the decals proved to be difficult to get done so my painter managed to save the day by masking over the original decals, then completing the paint repairers without damage to the decals.
The powder coated stuff will be ready for collection on Monday, so if Photobucket will decide to work, I'll be posting some shots then. _________________ Kindest regards

Hi Guys n Gals,
I'm sick to death of that bloody useless Photobucket service not working! It's a right royal pain in the butt and is the reason my progress reports have dwindled away.
Can anyone recommend an alternative option that's free, or cheap, that actually works?
I don't want to loose the use of this wonderful Diff'reft Strokers site, by posting my stuff only on FaceBook, so come on and give me your suggestions.

Hi Guys n Gals,
well after 40 minutes of gaffing PB has started working again!
Anyway here's a shot of the fuel tank, after the paint work had been done and well smart it is.
Damn it, bloody PB's stopped working again! ARGGGHHH. _________________ Kindest regards

Tank looking superb Reggie!!
I feel your pain with Photobucket as this is the one I use too...
Please persevere as I agree with you, this site is a wealth of information and like minded souls..be a real shame to see it go quiet.
When I get chance I will look for alternatives too

Hi Shaun,
well after another 45 minutes, Photobucket's let me post a few more, so here we go!
Here’s the rear plastics, heavily faded.
And here it is post paint.
Then a side panel before paint.
And the same panel post paint.
My painter wasn’t able to source replacement decals so he masked them off, did the paint then did a top coat for protection.
Well impressed. _________________ Kindest regards

Hi Guys n Gals,
a few more, now that Photobucket's alive for a bit longer.
And here’s what the spring looks like in gold.
Then the swinging arm.
Then with the decals fitted.
Loads of parts powder coated in black.
But when you look closely, you’ll see the black powder coating has a metallic bit of bling. Love it.
And here we have replacement decals for the chassis number etc (which I’ve edited out for safety’s sake).
I’ve very very pleased with the results. _________________ Kindest regards

Hi Guys n Gals,
last one of the day. I couldn't resist in mounting the swinging arm, to the frame to see what it looked like, before I started tapping out the excess powder coating from the fasteners.

Morning Yamfan,
we're getting there!
I must admit that the results the painter got were a surprise and the powder coating just blew me away!
With a bit of luck I may get another hour tinker time today. _________________ Kindest regards

Reggie,
I use PB too. I often find it a bit slow, but have never experienced the amount of trouble you seem to be having (could it be related to the size of your "library"?).
I'm sorry I can't suggest an alternative, as I haven't used any. However, please keep posting details of your progress here, because I'm not a FB member...
Regards,
James |

Hi James,
don't worry, I'm not going anywhere but I can't post as often until I can get a proper PB alternative.
I've been having problems for ages so any recommendations from users of different products would be appreciated. _________________ Kindest regards

Hi Fazey,
it was your machine that inspired me mate, along with the support of the likes of Shaun, and this fabulous website.
Hopefully I'll have a couple of spares hours later in the week to do a bit more.
First thing I need is to ask Phil if he can use his spring compressor, to re-build he rear shock! _________________ Kindest regards
