Thanks, I feel very very fortunate to have gotten this bike.
a good friend and fellow collector (silverstrom) connected me with the seller.
the bike is in incredible condition and has been meticulously cared for by the previous owner.
Its hard to find these bikes at the best of times, but in this condition, even harder. _________________ 2014 Honda VFR800

I think we could do with a collection photo please.
With this front & center. What is it like on the road Straycat? I'm never going to get the opportunity to ride one, so please let us know & go into detail.
And I mean detail |

LOL your right - a KR1S would look good in here, unfortunately you dont see them here unless someone imported it. I'd love one, said to be the fastest of the 250 2 strokes. _________________ 2014 Honda VFR800

So I finally rode it today for the first time. Loved it.
Id hear from a buddy that compared to the NS400R or the RZ350, it feels like a big Bike (bigger than it is). and it does. The weight of the bike and its power certainly make it feel big.
Power is far better than the NS400 as you'd expect.
it's geared very well, it doesnt require much clutch slipping to set off from a dead stop, so thats nice, and it doesnt bog if you get the revv's too low in 1st. seems that extra power and torque make it much more well behaved.
bitmore vibration through the foot pegs than my other 2 stroks, when you back out of the trottle and let the pipes pop a bit, you really feel that in your feet.
Seat gets hot - due to the 2 pipes running under it I guess
Handling is good, bike is heavier then my others but handles well. The NS400r still handles the best.
truth is, i have not yet turned the tap on really hard, may be later this week _________________ 2014 Honda VFR800

The RD is lovely but that RG 250 Walter Wolf is stunning too
On a side note a few years ago I spotted a RD 500 in a bike shop. I asked the shop owner about it and he said it was in for a carb clean and was ready for collection. He wheeled it outside and started it up just so I could hear it.
What a nice thing to do, he had nothing to gain but just knew a fellow stroker addict when he saw one |
