Hello ,
I'm sorry to Strokerboy if I stole his thread about his beautiful 'RR' , but I though I'd wait until someone else had added a GSXR before I crawled out of the shaddows .
I did have 4 bikes and added a picture ot two them to the 'collections' part of this site , but I've since sold the RD500 and ZXR750 , her in doors was happy again ( for a while ) but with money buring a hole in my pocket.......along came this , proper ' old skool ' GSXR hooligan bike
It was Paul Denning's track bike before someone put it on the road . It started life as the SP version ( not offically imported to the UK ) of the 1994 GSXR 750 WP . The SP version has a close ration gear box and a braced swinger ( I think ?) . Anyway having lot of race contacts Paul Denning must have spent £1000's and £1000's on it , a brief spec is ,
884cc JE big bore kit
Heads flowed and Skimmed
Suzuki kit camshafts
Lightened and balanced crank
Long Suzuki kit conrods with barrel spacers
Mikuni TMR40mm flatsides with kit suzuki carb kit
Kit carbon fibre airbox
RGV500 GP bike tipple core rad
Suzuki kit ignition box
Yoshimura Duplex Titanium exhaust & Yoshi carbon firbe end can
Dymags front & rear
6 pot harrison calipers
Standard forks re-valved by Maxton
Kayba rear shock fitted with Maxton spring
Yoshi rear sets
Kit Suzuki rev counter and temp guage
Full carbon fibre bodywork
Mirror polished frame and swing arm , and lot more but my fingers are aching.
It was in PB in Jan'96 and it gave 148hp and weighed 414lbs ( approx 188kg ) . I've had tuned 500 Gammas , a few tweeked GSXR1100 , LC's YPVS's in my time but this thing is just the fasted bike I've ever ridden , it just pulls ans pulls and revs so quickly. if you didn't know what you were doing you would either be flipped off the back of it, or in the first hedge , it's just an animal - which is why it is soooooooo much fun.
