I bought a new ignition barrel for cosmetic reasons (its dead easy to change the barrel to keep the original key(so is the fuel filler cap come to that)) which came with twice as much wire as you need, but the front brake light switch has barely enough!! The rubber boots to cover the connectors up are plenty big enough to be easy to fit, and tidy things up no end.

Well, boredom has got the better of me today, so threw a few old bits at the frame just to see how she looks.....amazing how the tank despite the shoddy current condition makes the bike look, shows the pretty lines of the bike nicely....

Oh, and had this done too........
Looks kinda trick, expect to see this on the Diff'rent Strokers stand, as soon as she's finished, of course!!

I used FitForx, but only coz they are a 5 minute drive from my door!!
01782 454009, or there is a place called Philpots HERE who I suspect actually did mine, FitForx sent them away, I'm sure....How did you stop the damper rod from turning when you undid the allen screw on the bottom of the leg?? I used an air wrench, that snatched one undone, the other wouldn't budge, the rod was spinning. I looked at the one that came apart, and found that a long, large headed bolt could be dropped down to fit in the top of the rod, welded 2 bolts end to end so had the hex at opposite ends, worked a treat....the bolts were Peugeot rear suspension bolts I think!

This is the thing I used, its 22mm one end and 24mm the other, I'm not sure, but I think its the 24mm end fits into the top of the damper rod, and stops it turning as you undo the screw on the bottom.

I replaced all the washers, and sliding parts, these are the rings from the bottom of the stanchion, they take about 3 weeks to come from Robinsons...
This is an Old and a New one for comparison...

And this is my forks finished, new dust seals on top of the oil seals tidies them up nicely....
