If you've not done a Honda before then http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/ is a good source for NOS parts.

Other than that (and DS don't seem to have mega stocks of MBX bits) you may well find you are pionnering this!

Thanks for the web addresss. I have registered on the MBX site, but with only 10 other members, advice may be thin on the ground! Thanks again.

HI, YES GOOD LUCK WITH IT. GOT ANY PICS OF IT AS IT IS NOW? THERE'S ONE ON EBAY NOW THATS OVERPRICED I THINK. THE TANK DOESN'T LOOK ORIGINAL.
SOMETIMES SEE ADS IN CLASSIC MOTORCYCLE MECHANICS MAG REGARDING MBX BIKES/PARTS ALSO.
AN OLD MATE OF MINE HAD ONE IN RED/BLACK FROM NEARLY NEW WAY BACK IN '85, WHILE I TRIED TO KEEP UP WITH HIM ON MY CB125T DREAM! THEY WERE GREAT LOOKING BIKES AND FAST. I CAN STILL SMELL THAT SMOKE NOW. GREAT MEMORIES OF BEING 17...

Hi

Had an MBX125 many years ago. Suspect you might struggle for spare parts. Engine is similar to the MTX125, but not the same.

Mine hated any pattern pistons. Rarely lasted long enough to finish running in. Went well with an Allspeed exhaust.

And if anyone finds an MBX125 registration B78OPR then it is mine, having been stolen from me in the early 1990s.

All the best

Keith

mr200r, in Britain we had a law that stated learner riders could ride nothing more than a 125cc bike with a maximum of 12 BHP. This power restriction means power valves are removed to cap the output of these machines as they could make that 12 BHP without the Power Valve anyway. The law has since been changed (twice) since then, and is a little more complicated now!!
