Is yours a pre sidestand cutout switch model?, looks like the wiring loom doesn't have any wires heading down the frame towards the side stand. |

Dont forget to turn your water pump outlet round before you go to put the hoses on! _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Well spotted! I cant even remember why i put it like that. Will put it right soon. Haven't had much chance to work on it lately. Had a great time cleaning the exhausts getting years of oil and grit off them with an old rag and a can of old petrol. Back to it soon hopefully... |

There's about a 1mm coke coating inside the pipes. Was going to leave it as is but if you can tell me an easy way to clean them inside, i may do it if i get chance. I'll use the original cans to fire up and set the bike up but i've got a nice pair of aluminium Dep cans to put on when all's well... |

Sure, plug the end and fill the pipes with a Caustic Soda solution for a couple of weeks....shake em up every couple of days, and refill em after a week with fresh solution. It gets hot when you mix it and it helps loosen the carbon. You get the cans new off ebay about 3 weeks ago? _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!

Didn't those Deps go for quite a lot of dosh?
What I want to know is who got the carbs? £200 for a set of brand new carbs is s bargain, it would probably cost that much to have old carbs professionally cleaned. |

Yeah, and the carb slides are teflon coated, which wears off. I now a guy who has 2 new carbs to sell, but they are both the same side!!
Anthony Heywood, he gets to the shows in Uttoxeter and Stafford. I had a NOS rear shock, an exhaust, a caliper and a Rev counter off him!! Especially pleased with the shock coz it had no art number, I recognised it! As such it was only £50.00!! _________________ Breathing new life into an old Gamma!
