Had an NSR125 when learning a few years ago, bought an RS250 (98 old shape) which I loved and rode for a few weeks before passing test...oops. Then sold it 2 years later after plenty of swearing at it (Italian electrics) despite doing my first trackday on it at Cawell 5 weeks after passing test and taking it to the Nurburgring later that year (it got swamped by everything there...) and bought a Movistar 600RR (please don't stone me). However, after a disastrous 2 and a half years on that bike I am now the proud owner of another RS250, same bike as before, just needs some TLC to make it mint again. Before I trackday it....
Looking through site, hope to make some ride outs round the Derbyshire area as there seems to be quite a few round here....
Oh yeah, also had a CR85 big wheel before some w**ker stole it last year, and have a Blata with NOs in garage (scary to ride...). Does that qualify me for this site? |

Definitely. Welcome on board !
Not enough RS250's on here. Where are they all ? Did you actually ride yours all the way to the Nurburgring and back ?
Any pics ? Of the bikes, not the tits obviously... |

This was my first trackday at Cadwell, 5 weeks after passing trest...which I also did on my birthday - what a way to spend my day....
This is what I sold the RS for....and wish I hadn't pretty much straight away!!! This was 10 days old before it when here to the Nurburgring where it was run in round there....
Mine and Mikes bike...
A typical family day out in our household, a weekend at the Nordscleife....yound man on the back of Mike
Me lining up to go out again on the Nurburgring, this time in the old crap car (now sold for an Astra GSi as slow as anything)
None of te new bike yet as it's bloody cold....will get some of the mini-moto too when the weather increases.... _________________ It's my road... |

Just.
Nice skills after 5 weeks on the road. You don't say how long you were riding before then though. |

Riding the shit heap of an NSR for 6 months on road, as much as I could in that time. Love wheelies and over the mountain it's easy to pull little ones like that. Never had a bike before that. Mike warned me that even 125's will wheelie over the mountain, and my first time I shit myself as bike went skywards. Apparently, everyone on grandstand thought I was going to loop it (so did I...) as it was vertical - only sheer luck brought it back down!!! Still, I kept trying to pull wheelies over the rest of the day, now I knew what to expect....
Pic of my crosser - hope to get another when finances permit.
And another from the Cadwell trackday...you can tell I'm a novice at this as don't have scraped knees (or sliders for that matter), but I love the RS for it's cornering and braking abilities compared to the big boys...

Mike is also a 2 stroke fan and started his racing career on on RGV, stuffing it in amongst the 400's and even 600 / 1000's at short tracks like Mallory in the open class. He also had a CR250 which was stolen the same night as mine - they walked past the road bikes and just took the scramblers (the Gixer and CBR weren't even locked up, yet the crossers had 3 chains through them chaining them together at back of garage...!!!)Here he is in his usual opsition on rack....
and how he normally take the racing line now when at the Nurburgring...

2 questions:
1/ Why dont you have a helmet on?
2/ Is your head stuck out the sunroof? |

Great pics, ta !
Note to everyone else : action pics like these are what we want on here, not yet another static shot of your melted pistons. Get it fixed and get using it ! |

I'd have thought that all of these threads should have an equal mix of "melted pistons" and "action shots"?
