Hello,

Just bought another Mk3.
But it has a totaly different front end.
Bigger disks ,bigger fork diameter , different top yoke and gold/braun 3 spoke wheel.
Found also the matching rear wheel
Its also gold/braun and 3 spoke but its 17 inch.....

Could this setup be from the (never seen) Mk4??

Thanks Erik

It may be half tidy but I think the price is wholly unrealistic.
Work has restarted on mine after a broken boiler and the credit crunch wrecked my restoration fund. Engine is going to Stinkwheels for a bottom end rebuild. Still undecided on changing the wiring loom to Mk3, tried to get a new one but no luck. Bodywork will be silver Walter Wolf from my Mk3, I like it better than the blue WW.

I think I may have one somewhere, I'll get a whole week to work on it soon so I'll be doing an inventory of all my spares. Just been looking at your site, excellent job, and a startling discovery. That silver green Walter Wolf in your photo gallery is sitting in my garage right now, thats the one I bought off a South African from Isleworth. Thats a picture of it outside his flat, he bought it from DK, they've brought in quite a few RG's over the years. I got a few boxes of spares with it including 2 complete engines, in bits of course. I'm going to put that bodywork on the Mk4, need to get the Mk4 wheels sprayed silver green first, and the front mudguard which is different.

I don't know if you can help with this Walt, I'm desperate to get hold of the bar that runs between the two fairing middle panels, in front of, and below the radiator? I don't suppose you have a spare do you? No longer available new, and the lugs on the panels break in a crash meaning the bar gets binned!!
If you need a loom, I have one I can give you FOC, I replaced it because some connectors had been replaced. The bike was fully functional with it in situ.

You are in luck. I managed to get a new one despite it being listed as unavailable, and the silver WW still has its original, so you are welcome to that one, its not in bad shape, its undamaged.

OMG, Walt, you are a star!! How much do you want for it, condition isn't important....this part is the Holy Grail of Gamma bits it seems, I've asked all the big Suzuki dealers, Robinson, Crooks, Spares Direct, plus smaller dealers on the off chance, and had no joy at all.

No charge for the part, I might be asking you for something one day. I'm away for a week now, if you email me your address I'll post it when I get back.

The part arrived safely, Guy, thanks very much. PM me your address and I'll get that loom out to you....oh, I've got two power valve cables too, look in really good condition, and a half decent rad, too.

Glad it go there ok, you wouldn't want royal mail to lose something like that. I'm ok for pv cables thanks, rad looks ok, but will it be when the bike runs again. I'm curious, what parts did you need to source from Japan? So far the only part that I really wanted but can't get is the crank pin/web.
Will you be at the CMM show in October?

I've had things like exhaust end cans.....you cant get good ones in the UK, fairing panels....there's no demand or competition for them there, so they're cheap. Had a good radiator, power valve servo, single seat converter, and even tho with later items customs and excise have had their pound of flesh, I've had everything at less than UK prices. I can see from shipping labels, that things have arrived at Coventry airport with 48 hours of dispatch......where they promptly sit for another 3 or 4 days before delivery to my door!!

I should be at Stafford, later, tho there is less and less stuff I now need....its the jumbles I mainly go for!!

PJ Engineering did my crank, and one of my flywheels was a different colour, I'm sure they replaced one? There's a pic here

The one with "Garry" written on is the one, I think I recall him saying that some were available, but not all.

After taking the brakes appart for cleaning etc i found another difference.
The master cilinder has the union bolt at the side and not at the front like the Mk3

Am i right ?
Is the front master brake cilinder also Mk4??

Thanks.
