Hi everyone,
Just got hold of an MTX200 (field bike ) I know nothing about these bikes, I knew Honda made a 125cc version but not a 200cc.
Really not sure what I'm going to do with it? I was thinking of restoring but the frame is absolutely beyond saving
Has anyone ever owned one?
Any info will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks chaps, sorry but no pics as its all in boxes
Definately not complete but on the plus side, the engine looks good, not seized & compression is excellent
One for the future maybe? If I can find a decent frame!
Was the MTX125/200 frame the same? Might be easier tracking down a 125 frame?

Sadly even the 125s are like hens teeth nowadays. Good luck in your search though. |

I had an MTX200 from new. Not my favourite bike. Most of the bike was identical to the 125 apart from the rear suspension and obviously the engine. ATAC was shite from memory and kept on getting gunged up which causes a hiogh speed misfire. 125s come up on ebay quite a bit so another frame shouldn't be hard to source. New plastcis can be had from Thailand for very reasonable money. _________________ Alastair

Thanks for the info chaps but this bike is beyond saving
So the bits are going onto ebay in order to raise funds for the Kr1, Ke175 etc etc
Hopefully someone else can benefit from its parts(?) Not just me
Still a shame though.
