is there an rg 250 owners forum or club on the net , got a mk3 i think but when i replaced the engine the wires coming from the new engine dont match the connectors on the wiring loom . just wanted to see if anyone has posted video or pics of the wiring . thanks lads

got another engine for my mk3 gamma cause the old one was knackered, but the wiring and connectors in the new engine are different from the old engine .
the bike was first registered 1/8/87 and the two engine numbers both start with J202 , i have a 3 pin straight connector on the new engine but on the wiring harness on the bike it has a 3 pin T connector any idea,s lads , p,s is there a quick guide to postin pic,s cheers

Not sure but you could have a MK4 engine.
There are a lot of different parts used in the MK4 engine.
Also another stator....
Easy check would be the front sprocket if it has the MK3 plate with the 2 bolts it must be a MK3
The Mk4 has a different counter shaft and uses a circlip for the front sprocket.

cheers erik it is a mk4 motor , the front drive sprocket is held on by a circlip , thanks for the info

can i change the stator plate and electrics from my mk3 to my mk4 engine ? , if not anyone know what wires match what , cause they are different colours on the mk4 engine , cheers lads
