Hi everyone, just thought i best introduce myself.

I picked up an '87 RG 250 Gamma 3, with my dad, at the weekend. It's been stood since 2001 and has only done 19'900 miles.

We don't know a great deal about it, other than it was running when it was parked up and it has a seized caliper, dead battery and its fallen over at some point with a damaged brake lever and what appears to be an aftermarket nose fairing.

the plan is to give it the necessary tlc to get it back on the road ready for once i've passed my test, then i'll probably do more to tidy it up and maybe pay more attention to the engine. but first i need to build myself a shed/workshop.

Hi, welcome to the group. I spied this on Ebay, the top fairing and belly pan are fibreglass I'd imagine, but I seemed to recall it was a much better starting point than mine....good luck, if there is anything you need, just ask the question here, I'm sure one of us will be able to answer it for you. Its been said before but if you need to search for parts then THIS will be useful.

this one wasn't on ebay. we bought it from someone local clearing out their garage. they approached my dad in the pub, they knew he has classic bikes.

i've still not started working it, i've checked the electrics and thats about it. i've got some other projects to do first, including building a shed and a Honda SL125 trial/trail bike.

Hmmmm, you may not of bought it off Ebay, but it was deffo listed, those big blue stripes on the top fairing with no white between them (and on the belly pan too if I remember right?) are pretty distinctive.
