Classic Mechanics Show, Stafford, October 2017
Our 12th year at this show. As per the last few years, we were in Side Hall 2. As a departure from the norm, we decided to show 3 grey-import 250 fours : Gary's Phazer, Andy's Katana and Sara's Hornet, though a lot of people didn't realise they were 'only' 250's. We also had Paul's trick CR250 road-legal track bike, which had people poring over its exquisite details all weekend. We should have had a TS80ER too, but logistical problems meant that Tim had to substitute his KS-II at the very last minute.
The weekend flew past quickly, we were chatting and handing out sweets all the time, we even sold a few more T-shirts. As usual it was great to catch up with a lot of mates that we only see a couple of times a year at events like this. There was some interesting stuff on display elsewhere but we didn't get time to see it all. 4 new members signed up after meeting us at the show.
Big thanks to Gary, Andy, Sara, Paul and Tim for bringing their bikes along, and to Rob and Nic for helping to man the stall again. Due to everyone's help, it was the quickest we've ever set the stand up - we were in the pub by 6pm on Friday !
